Intimate Venue for Small Weddings
The stunning riverside setting of Roux at Skindles on the banks of the River Thames in Maidenhead makes a perfect and romantic location to say “I do”. Every marriage and civil ceremony is different because each wedded couple is unique so for that reason we have dispensed with “wedding packages”.
Room Hire for Civil Ceremonies & Weddings
The Chairman’s Room hire charge for the civil or marriage ceremony only is £600.00 and includes tea, coffee and welcome soft drink on arrival, as well as flowers for the ceremony table and a ‘Roux Royale’ cocktail to toast the newlyweds after the ceremony! The room can seat a maximum of 14 guests including the bride and groom so is ideal for small, intimate weddings or receptions that require a smaller venue.
After the marriage formalities a drinks reception can be hosted in our riverside Cocktail Bar overlooking the River Thames before returning to the Chairman’s room, where we host our private dining events, for the wedding lunch.
Feel free to bring your own wedding cake and source your favourite florist for the occasion.
Marriage ceremonies can be conducted from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm Wednesday to Friday and guests are asked to vacate the Cocktail Bar or Chairman’s Room by 4.00 pm.

Parties and Private Venue Hire
We are always happy to discuss exclusive use of our riverside Brasserie and first floor Cocktail Bar to facilitate any private celebration, birthday party, corporate event, or special occasion.
No two parties or celebrations are ever the same so to ensure the best experience of Roux at Skindles we would discuss your requirements to create a unique event package tailored to your needs.
We don’t charge for exclusive venue use however, a minimum spend for food and drink does apply.
Cocktail Bar & terrace overlooking the River Thames for up to 30 people – minimum spend is from £2000.00 to £3000.00 depending on the day of the week.
French Brasserie and al-fresco terrace area – minimum spend from £4200.00 up to £7500.00.
Entire venue – Brasserie and first floor Cocktail Bar including all weather terrace – minimum spend from £6500.00 to £11000.00

Our beautiful venue is located on the banks of the River Thames, in Taplow, Maidenhead, Berkshire with excellent access via the Elizabeth Line and the M4. Only 25 minutes from central London by train and 20 minutes from Heathrow by car, it is an ideal location for private events, weddings, and celebrations.
The "Chairman's Room"
An intimate dining room offering private dining for up to 14 guests.
Situated on the second floor with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the River Thames, and accessible by elevator as well as stairs, it is the perfect riverside venue either for celebrations or corporate functions.
We don’t charge for room hire but we do apply a minimum spend of £70.00 per person for food and drink.
